Code Green Networks True DLP solutions – Overview
In today’s security-conscious environment, enterprise customers of all sizes need complete, accurate, and cost-effective data loss prevention (DLP) solutions to protect their most valuable assets… their confidential data. TrueDLP from Code Green Networks is the first solution on the market that provides network, endpoint, discovery and encryption-based DLP services.

Network DLP – Monitor and Control Data in Network Communications
The Code Green Networks line of Content Inspection Appliances allows organizations to monitor and control sensitive data transmitted in any network application. Utilizing a network tap, the CI-1500 and CI-750 appliances monitor all network traffic for confidential data, providing visibility as well as exposing spyware and malware threats to data.
The CI Appliance includes a built-in MTA (mail transfer agent) for policy-based control of email messages containing sensitive data, providing the ability to block, quarantine, forward, or encrypt email messages.
Webmail visibility and control is provided via integration with any ICAP capable web proxy such as Bluecoat, even within SSL-encrypted sessions. ICAP proxy integration also offers control over Web 2.0 applications such as popular social networking sites, wikis, blogs, and other web-based applications, and delivers visibility and control over FTP sessions (download Bluecoat/CGN Solution Brief).
Key Benefits
-
Prevent data loss via the network regardless of protocol
-
Monitor and inspect all TCP protocols – SMTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S, IM, P2P, and other TCP
-
Inline MTA inspects and controls email messages
-
ICAP integration controls Webmail, Web 2.0, and FTP, including SSL-enabled sessions
-
Policy-based email encryption secures communication and ensures regulatory compliance

Endpoint DLP – Control Confidential Data Use on Endpoints
The CI Agent provides total visibility and complete control over sensitive information residing on servers, laptops, and removable media. The CI Agent provides both Endpoint DLP and Discovery.
CI Agent Endpoint DLP
The CI Agent delivers powerful data loss protection for data in use on endpoint devices, providing visibility and control over sensitive information being copied to removable media or sent over wireless connections. Endpoint DLP provides both device level control and content aware inspection, allowing flexible policy-based enforcement. Detailed activity logging provides audit history information necessary to demonstrate compliance. Offline policy enforcement ensures protection for laptops and other devices even when disconnected from the network
Endpoint DLP Key Benefits
- Extend Data Loss Prevention to laptops, desktops, and servers
- Provides visibility into file and device activity on endpoints
- Controls sensitive information being copied to removable media
- Restrict use to authorized users and devices
- Protect laptops even when disconnected from the network
Endpoint DLP Key Features
- Content aware monitoring and inspection policies
- Device level control, with read only, block, encrypt, and log actions
- Device and file activity reporting
- Online and offline policies
- Policy based encryption of sensitive data
- End user notification and remediation of violations
CI Agent Discovery
TrueDLP Discovery locates and identifies sensitive data at rest on endpoints and servers across the network, providing visibility and audit reporting of potentially unsecured information. Automatic, configurable scanning of local and network shares using discovery specific inspection policies ensure sensitive content is discovered wherever it is located. Detailed audit logging and reports provide administrators with the information needed to demonstrate compliance, protect confidential information, and reduce data loss risk.
Discovery Key Benefits
- Locates and identifies sensitive content residing endpoints and servers
- Provides visibility and audit reporting of unsecured sensitive content
- Demonstrate compliance
- Reduce data loss risk
Discovery Key Features
Configurable scanning based on endpoint, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) user/group, folders, and file types
- Content aware inspection
- Detailed audit logging and reports
- Scalable agent based discovery scanning
Centralized Management
The Code Green Networks TrueDLP solution brings all its components together through the CI Manager, a web-based management console that provides centralized management of Network, Endpoint and Discovery sensitive content registration, incidents, logs, and reports.
